The Ibex 35 has hold son to the annual highs(+ 0.11%. 9,155.60 points), despite the slightly downward tone of world stock markets. The increases by Telefónica, which has set new annual highs after being known that it has put Zeleris up for sale for 100 million euros, together with the good tone of Inditex, Repsol or Iberdrola, have been enough to offset the falls of Sabadell, PharmaMar, IAG or Aena.

Wall Street registers slight cuts after completing its most bearish week since February, while in Asia the green numbers have predominated, on a day in which several relevant macro data have been published.

China's industrial production rose 9.8% year-on-year in April, according to data released Monday by the country's National Statistics Office, in line with analysts' expectations.

On the negative side, retail sales in China rose 17.7% year-on-year in April. However, this figure fell short of consensus expectations of a 24.9% increase.

On the other hand, the US and the EU have agreed to negotiate a solution to their steel tariff dispute and thus make a common front against China.

The macro agenda has not included outstanding data this Monday, while tomorrow, Tuesday, the preliminary GDP of the euro zone for the first quarter will be published; and on Wednesday, the CPI for April. This week inflation will remain in focus after the comings and goings of the past due to this cause. Investors will therefore look closely at this reference.

At the strategic level, Link Securities analysts affirm that "we expect the stock markets to stabilize in the coming days and that expectations of a prompt reopening of the economies will determine investment decisions in these markets."

WITH A VIEW ON THE RESISTANCE OF THE 9,300

After closing on Friday with increases of 2%, the experts of Bolsamanía believe that the Ibex will continue to rise in the short term. "It seems feasible that we can see 9,300 points in the next few days," says César Nuez, analyst at Bolsamanía and head of Trader Watch. For now, this Monday we have already seen 9,203 integers, the index's intraday maximum.

Analysts explain that the environment in stock markets is "extremely fickle" and that markets continue to struggle with the dilemma of whether the current episode of rising inflation is transitory in nature or a harbinger of a much more persistent trend in rising inflation prices.
