Juego de Tronos, Veep, Rami Malek y Tatiana Maslany destacan entre los premiados en los Emmy 2016

Se han celebrado los Emmy 2016 y si tenemos que hablar de las series que han destacado, tenemos que mencionar como no a Juego de Tronos, a Mr. Robot, y a Orphan Black, mientras que en comedias sobresalió Veep.

La ceremonia transcurrió como cada año, con discursos algo extensos, aunque da la sensación que este año para muchos, se ha hecho justicia, sobre todo en la categoría de actores principales, en la que un emocionado Rami Malek ganó por Mr. Robot, imponiéndose frente a grandes nombres como Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) o Matthew Rhys, que era el favorito para muchos por The Americans; mientras que la Mejor Actriz de Drama fue por fin Tatiana Maslany por Orphan Black, un premio merecedísimo que le ha costado ganar desde hace años y que sus fans han celebrado muchísimo en Twitter.

Sorpresón si hubo en la categoría de actor y actriz de reparto ya que aunque ganaron Ben Mendelshon y Maggie Smith por Bloodline y Downton Abbey respectivamente y se lo merecían, dejaron entonces a Juego de Tronos sin opciones en el apartado interpretativo. La serie sin embargo se tuvo que «conformar» con ser el Mejor Drama del año, un premio merecedísimo, pero que para los fans no es suficiente si tenemos en cuenta el gran trabajo que hacen sus actores y que parecen que siguen sin ser considerados del todo en el su área.

Además ganó Miguel Sapochnik por dirigir la famosa «Battle of the Bastards» se llevó el premio a la Mejor Dirección de Drama. En comedia, la dirección fue a parar a Jill Soloway por Transparent.

En cuanto a la categoría de comedia, tenemos que decir que de nuevo Veep fue destacada no solo como Mejor Serie de Comedia, sino que Julia Louis-Dreyfus volvió a ganar como Mejor Actriz, algo que por otro lado, estaba en todas las quinielas. Jeffrey Tambor por Transparent se ha llevado como era de esperar el premio al Mejor Actor de comedia.

En la categoría de Miniserie o Serie Limitada, ha sido The people v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story la que se ha llevado el «GRAN» premio, frente a la favorita para muchos The Night Manager, que se ha conformado con el Emmy a la Mejor Dirección para Susanne Bier.

En Miniseries, Regina King ha sido la Mejor Actriz, mientras que Courtney B. Vance, ha sido el Mejor actor por The People V OJ Simpson.
