Pero conseguir un listado de 10 obras no es fácil: este año los empleados de las oficinas de JP Morgan Asset Management de todo el mundo presentaron 568 títulos, que fueron después revisados por un comité de 16 personas. La cifra, por ende, ha crecido mucho desde las 115 recomendaciones de 2000 cuando comenzó esta iniciativa.
Asimismo, con los años el presidente de la entidad, Jamie Dimon, y también la consejera delegada de JP Morgan Asset Management, Mary Erdoes, han contribuido a la seleccción, que este año está compuesta por:
