'The Handmaid´s Tale', 'Big Little Lies' y 'Veep' triunfan en unos Emmy en femenino

La gran sorpresa de la noche ha sido que los más nominados, 'Westworld' y 'Stranger Things' se han ido casi de vacío. En el apartado de drama han dominado 'This is Us', con el premio a Sterling K. Brown como Mejor Actor Y 'The Crown' con premio a John Lithgow. No obstante, el apartado ha sido dominado por 'The Handmaid´s Tale' con el premio a Elisabeth Moss como Mejor Actriz y a Ann Dowd como actriz secundaria, pero además, la serie de Hulu se ha alzado con el premio al drama del año (y dos más entre ellos el de Alexis Bledel también como Mejor Actriz Invitada).

'Veep' ha vuelto a alzarse como la mejor serie de comedia por tercer año consecutivo

En cuanto al apartado de comedia, 'Veep' ha vuelto a alzarse como la mejor serie de esta categoría por tercer año consecutivo y Julie Louis-Dreyfusha vuelto a conseguir un Emmy a Mejor Actriz. Es el sexto en su carrera y ella la actriz más premiada de manera consecutiva en esta categoría.

Cierra el trio de grandes de la noche 'Big Little Lies' que ha arrasado en la categoría de serie limitada con premio a Laura Dern, Nicole Kidman y Alexander Skarsgård, y como no, el de Mejor Serie Limitada, y también dos más en categorías técnicas. El premio a actor en la categoría de TV-movie ha sido Riz Ahmed, por 'The Night Of'

Por otro lado, no ha sido la noche de 'Stranger Things', ni tampoco de 'Feud', pero lo cierto es que ha sido el año de unos Emmys más centrado en dar premios a mujers y precisamente tanto la serie de Netflix, con ese maravilloso personaje de Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), y la de FX, resaltan esa presencia femenina que por fin se impone en la televisión…y en los premios.
