There are three issues that are discussed on Tuesday at the start of the economic-stock exchange day. On the one hand, it is still analyzing the possible merger between Barceló and NH Hotel Group (+ 1.7%) which, in practice, is a hostile offer of the former over the latter. Even so, different media published on Tuesday that there is division in the board of NH Hotel, so that finally the offer could be accepted.

The other two issues are Germany and the 'defeat' of Barcelona, which has run out of the European Medicines Agency (EMA for its acronym in English). As for the German issue, the policy, which has accompanied investors throughout this year 2017, returns to the scene of the hand of a possible new elections in Germany after failing - a priori - the attempts of Angela Merkel to form Government. As for Barcelona, it is confirmed that it will not be the headquarters of the EMA, and that is bad news, both for the city, for the Autonomous Community and for the entire country.

All in all, the Ibex remains flat on Tuesday and doing everything it can to respect the level of 10,000 points. This Monday closed at 10,025, with slight increases of 0.15%, a few rises that sat well after trading for much of the session in red. The problem, as the expert of 'Bolsamania', José María Rodríguez, points out, is that "there is no future catalyst that allows us to bounce, not as long as we have the Damocles sword of the Catalan elections on top". While waiting for that date to arrive on December 21st, the Ibex will have to do everything possible not to perforate the support of 9,900 points. Above, the key level is still 10,600 points.
